Be the People Book Review

Dr. Carol Swain is well-read, well-researched, and offers a balanced and authoritative “State of the Union” address in her book, Be The People.

As believers, it can be challenging to know what to think and how to respond to today’s political events.  Dr. Swain offers an issue-by-issue examination of where we stand as the United States today, how we got there, and how our position lines up with the Word of God on key issues like abortion, race, and immigration. 

The majority of Americans describe themselves as conservative, yet the mainstream media would have us believe that conservatives are in the vast minority.  Dr. Swain addresses this issue and calls for change.  The direction of our country should be influenced by the majority, not simply those with the loudest voice.

I often feel frustrated at events I see happening around me because I feel powerless to really make a difference.  Dr. Swain offers an excellent education for believers and gives steps we can take to affect change.   I wish that everyone concerned with the current direction of our country would read this. Together, by the grace of God, we can realign ourselves and our country with our Biblical values before it’s too late.
